Why we do it
Why should we make the effort? Why should we invest the incredible amount of time and resources needed to achieve our mission?
INTERCEDE is motivated by our love for our fellow man and the desire to see the world in which we live become a better place. By providing educational opportunities for poor communities and awarding scholarships for certain individuals, we are confident we can and will make a difference in the lives of hundreds if not thousands of people, particularly youth. In doing so, we will see positive growth spiritually, socially, and economically within some of the world's poorest communities.
In a report published by Daystar University in 2004, the researchers said:
The destiny of the nation depends on the wellbeing of the youth, which in turn is determined by the availability of opportunities to grow and develop as responsible adults with spiritual guidance and social opportunities such as education... The goal of all this is to equip youth to realize their full potential as adults and leaders of the nation.
We could not have said it better ourselves. This is why we do what we do.
